No it is not the hen hackle.I know that is od to you but that how it is.

Our wet flies,that oldest ones all have cock hackle but in Bosnia they made more similar to UK original flies.
I hope that some of them will envolve in this thread
I put this purple fly here only to show that is not unusual colour of wet flies here

I like the three patterns.

Lots of feathers are used on NC spider patterns although I've not seen CDC on tradtional North Country spiders, it is not a material that was being used when many of the traditional patterns were being developed. But I have already seen CDC used on heavily weighted nymph patterns and there are benefits in it's use that are nothing to do with floatability! It's great at trapping small bubbles of air that glitter and shine underwater and of course it's very mobile and both things give an impression of life - so a good material to use on spiders

Good combination of colours in your patterns and I bet you have caught a few fish on them.

I know that is not traditional thing to do,but every once and while we do something strange with our flies and some of them works...

CDC is not about floatability always,you are absolutely right ....

I fished couple days on dries successfully,on same spot,same time....third day I get none ....and fish still keep rising ...I quickly as I could tried different dries..nothing...than I tried klink&dink and got one brown on pheasant tail size 16 and miss couple fish.....
Than something clicked in my thick head and I put those 3 on leader,bigger is size 16 ,smaller size 18....In next few hours I get them all
