OK...I will begin by saying Happy Birthday Crna Gora for the 3rd of june !!!!!
And I will continue by apologising for not having the Nikon with me all the time
( the water was sometimes hard and I was afraid that i would fall in the freezing water
)
We left home ( in eastern Romania, Bacau, Moinesti ) Saturday morning at about 5 am. We reached Berane at about 2.30 am
after mising some roads in Serbia Highway, wa also missed a road from Berane to Kolasin ( the GPS took us in a Mountain
road-Berane - Kolasin 40 km ?!?!? that eventually runed out of asphalt
. eventually, we returned Berane, took some
more diesel and found a road to Kolasin , passing by Andrevica. At 6 Am we were climbing a mountain, and enjoying a
great scenery
After a beautiful but curvy road
we reached family Radovic's place and the folks have been more than kind
and helpful ( they gave us a coffee that has fit right in place
. They also called Ivica, that has been a great sport
and took us on a short trip around Kolasin.
We've been stunned by the places, the water and , mostly of those great trouts that prowl Tara lower than the bridge ...
Ok, unpacked and ran to the water.
It was a great week, that taught us a great deal, we have learned a lot of useful things from Ivica
an al those big harted locals that have been very friendly and they all wanted to help us
We caught some fish, we met some great men and seen some great places.
Most fishes caught were graylings on nymphs. Since 3rd day we started catching fish on driez,
mostly at noon when we encountered different hatches.
Ivica has been great and took us out in the city for some beers and great conversation,
and so we found out what efforts your people do in order to protect the waters and nature, and promote your beautiful country.
We also had some drinks and long talks, and some very useful flytying !
To be sincere, I came with 3 big targets : hucho ( did'n happen, maybe next time
) ,
grayling on a streamer ( happened :D ) and big trout on whatever....
We had some rainbows on streamer on Monday, and some brownies on streamer the other days.
A lot of graylings on nymphs :D, trouts and graylings on dries .... so we had a full week.
It wasnt easy to cath, because of the very hard and clear water, and the fish being so picky on the fliez , but we managed alright
Some more pictures :
that crazy grayling on a size 6 epoxy streamer
In conclusion : great country, proud and kind men, gorgeus sightseeing, definitely to recommend to others
PS I have seen so many Nivas that I almost feel alone on the roads at home
Greetings to Ivica, family Radovic ( many excuses to the old lady that had to wipe the hall
floor after we soiled it with our wet wader5s and boots
) and greetings to the Kolasin
Fire Department that tried so hard to give me " pivo" in my best grayling day
Thanks a lot to you all for the informations and good thoughts, and if you ever reach Romania,
please feel free to call us for anything
