My advice is to prepare flies in sizes 14 - 20.

hello,highjacking thread also with some questions , how much would a guide cost per day ? is there a local tackle shop where i would buy flies in case im missing some particular patterns ?

About guiding !Cost depends from river to river..Also you can by flies from your guide.There is no specialized flyfishing shops in my country .

I see that there are allready some flyfishing friends from Romania that tried out your waters. To be sincerely I want to go flyfishing on Tara, for about 7 days at least, ussually I fish alone, but for this I`ll bring some friends, i`m thinking to walk along the canyon as much i can, usually i`m covering for about 5-10 km / day, depending on the place, in searching for perfect spot. I like wild places, if it is possible virgin places, but as we all know it is close to impossible, like it is with womens :). So I`m from Drobeta Turnu Severin, I have been in ex Yugoslavia, then in Serbia, but after the war I did not visit your beautifull country. When the USA bombed your country my parents said that windows from my house have trembled and from the begining I`d like to tell you , even that I don`t know what`s your opinion about the subject, that I don`t like what USA did there and I still admire you folks as a stand up nation. A lots of my friends share the same opinion. I hope that in  July/August this year i`ll be fishing up the river on Tara canyon. All the best from here.

The best river on the Balkans for Grayling is a Ribnik Bosnia & Herzegowina for shure...

I will ask questions after i finish reading forum threads, I can understand some from your language, i used to know a lot more because my childhood was full of your crtani filmovi and after that treci kanal was the main TV that we watched on communist period, there I`ve seen for the first time, Deep Purple, Creedance, Manowar, AC/DC... and also Bajaga, Bjelo Dugme.
