| Iceland trip
Our trip was from 1 to 12 July 2011
We are 3 fishermans : Federico – Dario – Alfrido
Rent a old Jeep in Reykjavik and start a long trip all around of island
Two best River – Lax-a and Minnivallalaekur – One in the Nord-East – One in the south-Ovest of Iceland
Others rivers very beautiful – but no fish because the water is very cold for resident trouts – that waters
are perfect only for sea trouts and salmons in last august and september.
The day in Iceland is very long in july but the best hours is 12.00 to 15.00 when the sub shining very hot.
In Laxa is possible to catch also with streamer – the river is big – the trouts have average of 55-60 cm !!
In Minni river is possible to fishing only with a little tip (6X-7x) and the trouts are monsters (over 70 cm ….)
– Need use little dry (ditterum) and small-small nymphs (hook 22-24) ….
The trouts rising well in both rivers in the middle of the day – or when the day give times no windy.
All the rivers are privat in Island and need reservations – via web naturally !
The price is about 300 euro per day in Laxa – Euro 200 in Minni (sleeping and food included)
Globally the trip have a price of 3500 Euro – included trip from Italy -10 days fishing
