There are no other fish for fly fishing in the River Tawe which is very close to my home. (If there were no trees I could see the river from my house)

To fish for grayling, chub or pike I must travel for about a 1 or 2 hours to other rivers I fish - the Rivers Wye & Taff

I could walk these banks forever, and the fact that this is a trout river suites me even more... Just gorgeous!!

Ray,

you have a saying: grass is always greener on the other side...
I would love to fish on this river, regardless to the fact that I have a dozen great rivers less than 50 miles from my home...
Maybe, when we do not need visa for GB... who knows?

This river must be rich in aquatic insects and other riverbed creatures. Muddy water brings them food.

There are a lot of different insects in the River Tawe but not all of them are in large numbers (for example I have identified 18 species of Ephemerotera) .

In thius river most small fish die when they get trapped in small pools left when the flood water reduces (especially Phoxinus phoxinus)

That kind of "acidents" with phoxinus hapens on me river Zeta all the time
