Thanks for the offer of dying some feathers - heron wing quills dyed in picric are great for the darker olive duns; I think it would be illegal to have any sent
into the country because they are protected. Thanks anyway.

Well,that about forum is true but you know what I mean.
Hunting season is not closed yet..so what about heron...Heron is prohibed here as well but
I might acidently get one,you know,walking upstream, looking for ducks and poor heron get heart atack
What feathers is good for you?Only wings?

Hi Ray and Mađoni,

I have an idea how to catch a Heron.
Any of you can go on the lake shore with your fly rod with fly on it. Then sit under tree and let fly floating on the wind.
I hope some stupid Heron will take it. And than, just say that it is not your fault...
That how we used to catch chicken from neghbord's yard...

Although I once caught a Mallard - guess I'm just as bad

Mersad, good to hear from you, we are starting to see some signs of spring in the UK with the days getting a bit warmer. Coldest winter for 30 years here.

Well,I do pay attention and of course I dont mind........this is wet fly,so wings ,in this case partridge hackle,can be 1,5 size of body lenght

Another,with yellow ostrich body...

More,with claret ostrich body..

I think uncle Ray is fall to sleep in front of his pc
or he dont like this flies
